Math and Science
Math activities can be numbers, size, shape, colors, measuring, or patterns. These can be practiced using specific activities or during play. While your child is playing with legos ask, "How many lego blocks did you use?" or "How many more red lego blocks are there than yellow. Which one is more? Less?" Ask them to put the lego blocks in a pattern. Sort the lego blocks by size or shape. Practice 1:1 number correspondence by having your child show you different number of lego blocks.
Science activities during early childhood teaches cause and effect. Your children are excited to learn why things happen and the best way to do that is with simple experiments.
