Art and Play
Art can be paint, markers, stickers, chalk, crayons, ribbon, recycling materials, paper, tissue paper, glue, buttons, glitter, scissors, pom poms, corks, cookie cutters, sponges etc. Collect different materials and let your child create their own art.
Play is the best way for kids to learn. Board games, dress up, trains, cars, dolls, cooking, playground, going for walks outside etc. Everything you and your child do during the day is a "teachable moment". This is what we say as teachers. You can talk about shapes, colors, numbers, cause and effect, differences vs similarities, letters, letter sounds, animals. Look around and you can always find something to teach your child.
